Thread sealant for leak-free threaded connections

A thread sealant locks and seals metal threaded connections, so threaded couplings do not vibrate loose and do not let liquid or gas escape. Installers, machine builders and maintenance technicians use them on pipework, hydraulics and pneumatics where tape or hemp falls short. The liquid products fill the gap between the thread flanks completely and cure into a solid, vibration-resistant layer.

You choose the strength based on whether you need to dismantle later: low-strength grades come apart again with hand tools, while high-strength types give a near-permanent lock. Also check the chemical resistance against the media in the line and the maximum thread diameter the product handles. A clean, grease-free thread determines the final strength, so always degrease thoroughly beforehand.
